Every full Legacy Experience begins with a story. This is that beginning, offered on its own for the individual who is ready to start, and brought directly to the organizations and communities whose people have stories worth telling right now.
The First Story Experience is a single, guided legacy conversation, professionally recorded and privately delivered. No hair and makeup. No full production. Just a real, unhurried conversation with someone who knows how to ask the questions that bring the right stories forward.
One guided legacy conversation of up to 30 minutes, with thoughtful preparation so the session feels natural from the first question. Professional audio and video recording. Light editing for clarity rather than production value. Private digital delivery for personal keeping and family sharing. Sessions are available in person at our downtown McKinney studio, at a partner location, or virtually for those outside the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Several times each year, The Zoe Martin studio in McKinney opens for First Story Experience sessions scheduled consecutively throughout the day. This format gives individuals access to a fully guided, professionally recorded legacy conversation at an accessible entry point, with the full attention and care of a private session. Spots are limited each quarter and filled by reservation.
If you have been thinking about beginning your legacy story and have not yet taken the first step, a quarterly studio session is where that changes.
The First Story Experience is also available as a hosted event brought directly to your location, whether that is a conference room, a private residence, a senior living community, a professional association gathering, or any space where your people are already together.
A First Story Experience partner event brings guided legacy recording to your audience, one conversation at a time, in a setting they already trust.
This format is a meaningful addition to:
Conferences and professional associations who want to offer attendees something they will carry with them long after the event ends. Senior living communities looking for a purposeful, deeply personal resident program. Women's organizations and leadership groups whose members are at exactly the life stage where this work resonates most. Wealth management firms, estate planning practices, and family offices whose clients are actively engaged in generational legacy planning. Faith communities and nonprofit organizations whose members have extraordinary stories that deserve to be heard and preserved.
Every partner event is planned collaboratively, tailored to your audience, and delivered with the same standard of care as a private studio session.
Often, clients who begin with a First Story Experience go on to explore a full Legacy Documentary Film, a Custom Legacy Portrait, or a Private Archival Website. The session itself often clarifies what the story is, who it is for, and what it deserves. There is no obligation to go further, but many people find that once the first story is told, they are ready to tell more of it.
