A Daily Reminder of Who and What You Love Most
Custom Legacy Portraits and Wall Art in Dallas–Fort Worth
Many of the people I photograph tell me they don't love having their picture taken. By the end of the session, they have forgotten the camera is there.
Some stories are too important not to share.
I created this work in honor of my sister, Kristina, whose strength, grace, and spirit shaped me in ways I am still discovering.
When she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer, she fought so hard. She rang the bell, received No Evidence of Disease, and endured a double mastectomy. I guess I thought she would live forever.
The year before she passed, she came to visit me with her daughter. I was able to photograph the two of them together. She had concerns about the way she looked and the way her hair was growing back after her treatments.
I assured her that her daughter would love the images just the way they were. They will forever be my favorite portraits of them. I was thrilled to have gifted my niece a 20x30 framed print of this image; her personal favorite.
That print lives on her wall today. That is what I want for your family.
Scheduling a portrait experience is a gift for you and for the people who love you most. Your story is still being written. This is simply your invitation to display it beautifully.
More Than Art, This Is Presence
Stories deserve to be seen, not stored.
Your portrait should feel as meaningful as the memories behind it. Each custom legacy portrait is thoughtfully designed and crafted to reflect who you are, what you value, and the legacy you want to pass down.
This is more than a photo. It is fine art portraiture that becomes part of your family history. Your children and grandchildren will grow up seeing this portrait and understanding the legacy they come from.
Your walls should reflect what matters.
From concept to installation, you receive a personalized experience, professional artistry, and a finished piece that is printed, framed, and professionally installed in your home. Every step is designed to create a beautiful and meaningful heirloom portrait.
Every portrait also supports a deeper purpose. A portion of every sale is donated to The Bridge Breast Network in DFW providing breast cancer resources for people in need. Your legacy helps protect someone else’s.

What Your Walls Say About What You Value
There is something that happens when a portrait is right. Guests stop in front of it. Family members linger. Children grow up understanding, without being told, that the people in that image are worth honoring.
A custom portrait from The Zoe Martin is not a photograph enlarged and framed. It is a designed piece of fine art, created from your session, refined with intention, and installed personally by Zoe in the space it was always meant for.
Every detail is considered: the size, the finish, the frame, the wall. Because a portrait that truly belongs in a room does not look like it was purchased. It looks like it has always been there.
This is what we create for you. Art that is alive with the story of a family still being written.
-
The easiest first step is reaching out through our website, email, or phone. We will talk through your vision, your timeline, and your space during a private consultation. A deposit is required to secure your date.
-
After your consultation, Zoe will visit your home and help you choose what to wear. For families coming from different locations, we will discuss options during the consultation call.
-
Seeing where the portrait will be displayed is an important part of the design process. It allows us to ensure that the size, mat, frame, and wardrobe choices all work together for the specific space the portrait will live in. Certain patterns can also create visual interference when photographed, which we identify and avoid in advance.
-
Session lengths vary depending on how many people are in the portrait. Most sessions last between 45 minutes and two hours. We go over all of these details during your consultation.
-
Most portraits are delivered and installed within three week. Larger family sessions may take up to five weeks. Rush processing may be available for an additional fee.
-
Both. Your options include digital files, professional prints, albums, and wall art including painted portraits. We walk through everything available to you during your consultation.
-
Weather permitting, yes. Most families prefer the climate-controlled studio environment, but outdoor sessions are available and we discuss the best option for your family during the consultation.
-
If the weather does not cooperate, we reschedule for another day or move to an indoor location. We stay in close communication and make the best decision for your family together.
