Why I Created Legacy Sessions
Some stories are too important not to share.
This is mine.
I created Legacy Sessions in honor of my sister, Kristina, whose strength, grace, and spirit shaped me in ways I’m still discovering.
When she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer, she fought so hard. She rang the bell, received No Evidence of Disease, and endured a double mastectomy. I guess I thought she'd live forever.
After she passed, the nearly 800 candid images and the handful of videos of her became everything.
The year before she passed, she came to visit me with her daughter. I was able to photograph the two of them together. She had concerns about the way she looked and the way her hair was growing back after her treatments.
I assured her that her daughter would love the images just the way they were. These images will forever be my favorites. I'm thrilled to have gifted my niece a 20x30 framed print of her personal favorite.
Scheduling a session is a gift for you and for those who will come after you. You never know what the future holds. Don't wait.
Giving Back Through Legacy
To honor Kristina’s life and help others walking a similar path, a percentage of all Legacy Session proceeds are donated toThe Bridge Breast Network, a nonprofit that provides resources to underserved communities facing breast cancer.
Your session not only preserves your legacy, it helps support another person in preserving theirs.

How do I book a session?
-
Simply contact us through our website, email, or phone to discuss availability and details. A deposit is required to secure your date.
-
What should I wear for my photoshoot?
-
During your consultation, you will be offered the opportunity to have me come to your home and help you choose what to wear. In the event that people will be coming from different locations out of the Dallas Fort Worth area, we can discuss what options are available to you regarding what to wear.
-
Why an in-home wardrobe consultation?
-
In order for us to design your wall art, seeing where it will be displayed is an important deciding factor in what you wear. When designing, we want to ensure that the size, mat, and frame we choose works best in the space.
-
How long does a portrait session take?
-
Session lengths vary depending on how many people are in the portrait. Portrait sessions typically last 45 minutes to two hours. You'll also want to factor in how many people are having hair and makeup done. We will go over these details during your consultation.
-
When will I receive my wall art?
-
Editing takes time to ensure the best quality. Your portrais will be delivered within 2-3 weeks, while larger familiy sessions could take up to 4 weeks. Rush processing may be available upon request.
-
Do you offer prints or just digital images?
-
We offer both. Your options include digital files, professional prints, albums, and wall art to showcase your memories beautifully.
-
Do you photograph oudoors?
-
Weather permitting, we do photograph outdoors, however, we have found that most families prefer to be photographed inside where the temperature is controlled. We can discuss outdoor options with you during your consultation.
-
What happens if the weather is bad for an outdoor session?
-
If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we can reschedule for another day or move the session to an indoor location. We’ll stay in touch and make the best decision together.
