Wait! What?!

We’re living in a hotel. Our family of five humans, one Husky, and four box turtles is staying in a two bed studio like hotel until further notice.

You recall that we had a delay in closing on our house in Midland? That was settled and we were set to sign on both houses when we discovered that some things didn’t get completed on time to close our buyer’s farm that they sold. Ugh!

It’s odd to make a reservation by telling them that you’d like to stay at their place for an indefinite amount of time. So thankful that they have complimentary laundry facilities on site!

Now that we’re in Longview we were hoping to see the town, but taking a dog along for the ride wasn’t in our plans. Someone either stays behind or we all go. Funny thing about that is that we still have belongings in our vehicles that made the move with us. That means we don’t all fit in one car. We have a small caravan of a Jeep, a Mazda, and sometimes a Honda that make these trips.

Thank goodness I connected with some local photographers before we came. We found out that the dog park is on the trail, Home Depot allows leashed pets in the store, and he can even go into a local coffee house - but I dislike the smell of coffee, so we’re not trying that.

Haven’t been inside the new house yet. The anticipation is killing me.
